1) Summary

• Your journal entries and photos are stored locally on your device.
• We do not require an account and we do not run our own tracking servers.
• The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob, which may collect certain device information to show ads and measure performance.
• In regions where required (e.g., EEA/UK), we use Google’s consent system to request your consent for personalized ads and related purposes.

2) Data You Create in the App (Stored Locally)

The App may store the following on your device only:

• Journal text you write
• Photos you attach
• App settings (e.g., reminders, preferences)
• App-generated exports (ZIP / PDF), when you choose to create them

We do not upload this content to our servers.

3) Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads (banner and rewarded ads). AdMob may collect information such as:

• Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID, or a similar identifier depending on your settings)
• Approximate location (inferred from IP, not precise GPS unless you explicitly grant it)
• App interaction data (ad impressions, clicks, and basic usage events related to ads)
• Diagnostics (crash logs and performance metrics related to ad delivery)

This information is used for:

• Showing ads (personalized or non-personalized depending on your consent and settings)
• Measuring ad performance and preventing fraud
• Improving ad quality and reliability

4) Consent (EEA/UK and Similar Regions)

You can change your consent choice at any time by using the consent options in your device settings (and/or an in-app consent option if available) and by resetting your Advertising ID.

We do not run our own analytics servers and do not collect your journal content.

However, third parties (such as Google AdMob) may collect ad-related measurements as described above.

6) Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App schedules notifications on your device. We do not receive notification data.

7) Data Sharing

We may share limited data only with third-party service providers required to deliver ads (such as Google AdMob), acting as service providers under applicable privacy laws.

8) Data Retention

Your journal content remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.

Ad-related data collected by Google is retained according to Google’s policies.

9) Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions).

10) Your Choices and Controls

You can:

• Disable personalized ads by adjusting consent where available

• Delete your journal data in the App (if you use the delete option)

• Uninstall the App to remove local data

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” will be updated.

12) California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a resident of California, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to:

Momentary does not sell personal information.
